1970s - Startup Period

1970 March 6

Founded by Yukio Funai

Established Japan Marketing Center Co., Ltd. (now Funai Soken Holdings Inc. ), whose main business is comprehensive business diagnosis of corporate management.

Established the Cosmos Club

We established the Cosmos Club, a membership-based organization, as management strategy workshops for business owners.
1972

"Transformation Marketing" becomes a huge bestseller

Yukio Funai's book "Transformation Marketing" became a massive bestseller, selling 400,000 copies, and his company's performance skyrocketed.
A gradual shift away from a purely competitive consulting approach is underway.

1980s: Stock market listing

1981
Initiated IPO preparations to gain social recognition for management consulting as a profession.
Simultaneously, the company began delegating major operational responsibilities to employees, transitioning away from a model reliant solely on founder Yukio Funai.
1985 March

The company name has been changed to Funai Consulting Inc.

1988 September

Listed on the Osaka Securities Exchange Second Section as a specially designated stock (new Second Section).

1990s: Expansion into the service industry

1990 March

From retail and distribution focused to service-focused

Tadashi Mototsugu was appointed President. shifted from management consulting primarily focused on retail and distribution to one primarily focused on the service industry.
1993 June

Transferred to the Second Section of the Osaka Securities Exchange

2000s: Period of Business Expansion

2000 February

Funai Information Systems Co., Ltd was established.

(Company name changed to Funai Soken IT Solutions Inc. in July 2014)
March

Expanding business operations through a "gear change"

Masahiko Koyama assumed the position of president. With "shifting gears" as the key phrase, he spearheaded reforms, putting both business performance and employee numbers on a growth trajectory.

Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange

Shifting towards a service-oriented business model.
2005 December

Reclassified to the First Section of both the Tokyo and Osaka Stock Exchanges

2010s: Organizational restructuring and the start of group management.

2010 February

The first Great Company Awards were held (and have been held annually since).

"Autonomy, Freedom, and Solidarity" are adopted as management principles.

Sakae Takashima assumed the position of president. He established a new policy based on "autonomy, freedom, and solidarity," which will serve as the foundation for group management.

Funai Consulting Shanghai Inc. was established in China.

2014 January

Funai Soken Logistics Inc. becomes a wholly owned subsidiary.

Transition to a holding company structure

The company name was changed to Funai Soken Holdings Inc. , and the management consulting business was transferred to Funai Consulting Inc. , and the sales support business was transferred to Funai Soken Corporate Relations Inc.
2015 February

Proseed Corporation becomes a wholly owned subsidiary.

2018 February

HR Force Inc. was established.

Shinwa Computer Service Inc. becomes a wholly owned subsidiary.

The 2020s: A period of digital expansion

50th anniversary of the company's founding

Takayuki Nakatani appointed as president

Following the restructuring of the Tokyo Stock Exchange's market Category , the company will transition to the Prime Market.

Funai Soken Corporate Relations Inc. and Shinwa Computer Service Inc. merged, and the merged company name was changed to Funai Soken Digital Inc.

2023 January

Funai Consulting Inc. has made Seicho Senryaku Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary.
" Sustainable Growth for More Companies " has been established as the group's shared purpose, reflecting the group's aspirations.

2024 April

Funai Consulting Inc. absorbs Funai Soken Digital Inc. and Funai Soken IT Solutions Inc.
We have moved our Tokyo headquarters to Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, consolidating our Tokyo operations into one location.

2025 January

Funai Soken Agata FAS Inc. established
Almacreation Inc. will become a wholly owned subsidiary.

(A joint venture with Agata Global Consulting Inc. )

Apparel-Web, Inc. becomes a wholly owned subsidiary.

MI Consulting Co.,Ltd. becomes a wholly owned subsidiary.

2026 January

Funai Consulting Inc. absorbs and merges with Proseed Corporation Funai Soken Logistics Inc. has changed its company name to Funai Soken Supply Chain Consulting Inc.
HR Force Inc. has changed its company name to Human Capital Consulting Co., Ltd.
Logi-Create Co.,Ltd. will become a wholly owned subsidiary.
We have relocated our Osaka headquarters to Innogate Osaka, consolidating our Osaka business bases into one location.
