BCP Basic Policy

Funai Soken Group is taking measures to ensure business continuity in emergency situations based on the following basic principles.
1. In the event of a disaster, we will prioritize the safety of our employees, their families, our customers, and our business partners.
2. We will prioritize the restoration of operations that contribute to the economic recovery of disaster-stricken areas and regions, and will focus on supporting customers involved in businesses that play a crucial role in disaster recovery efforts to maintain Society functions.
3. We implement proactive measures and employee training to prepare for foreseeable crisis events. Furthermore, we distribute and publicize mobile contact cards that allow employees to easily check appropriate responses in the event of an emergency, thereby minimizing the impact on our business operations.

BCM/BCP Promotion System

In the event of a large-scale disaster, we will immediately establish a disaster response headquarters, cooperate with each of our group's operating companies to gather information and respond, and promptly disseminate appropriate information to all stakeholders. In addition, we conduct regular meetings to promote BCM/BCP with the aim of establishing a system to prepare for serious emergencies.

Group Risk Owner Meeting... Held three times a year

Risk owners from each group company and the disaster response headquarters secretariat hold meetings to report on the implementation of safety confirmation drills, identify issues from the drills, and discuss future countermeasures. In addition, before long holidays such as Obon and New Year's, they also confirm and share operational systems and points to note during the holidays.

Disaster Response Headquarters Secretariat Meeting... Held twice a month and before long holidays.

We hold regular meetings twice a month to improve knowledge levels and skills and to share information. In addition, before long holidays, we decide on the operational structure and alternative operational structure for the disaster response headquarters secretariat, and confirm coordination with each company in the group.

The evolution of BCP and organizational and individual growth

1. BCP version upgrade

   Funai Soken Group has upgraded its existing Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to an "all-hazards type BCP (*)." The aim is to ensure appropriate responses even in the event of an unexpected disaster, by not limiting the scope of disaster occurrences. We aim for continuous improvement of our BCP through repeated training and BCP review, utilizing the PDCA cycle.
   *What is an all-hazards BCP?: While traditional BCPs focus on addressing specific risks, an all-hazards BCP is a plan that addresses all kinds of disasters and troubles, taking into account a wide range of risks such as natural disasters, terrorism, and cyberattacks, and providing comprehensive preparation. This allows for flexible and rapid response, enhancing the continuity and reliability of the company.

2. Organizational and individual improvement

   We aim to further improve the organization's business continuity capabilities by raising disaster awareness among all employees in the group. Specifically, we aim to enable each individual to understand BCP/disaster prevention as their own responsibility and acquire the skills and knowledge to respond in emergencies through participatory training such as regular e-learning and review tests, disaster prevention drills, and evacuation drills. This will also raise the overall level of the company.

Status of BCP Education and Disaster Prevention Training Implementation

e-learning

Loop conducts e-learning (lectures and tests) on BCP and disaster prevention once a year for all employees.
The purpose of conducting these tests regularly is to raise employees' awareness of disaster preparedness and to confirm initial response procedures in the event of a disaster.

Safety confirmation drill (confirmation and training on how to use the safety confirmation system)

This training confirms how to use the safety confirmation system that allows the company to quickly ascertain the safety of employees and their families in the event of a major disaster or serious accident. It is conducted three times a year for all employees, following a step-by-step process. In addition, the training also confirms the flow from notification to response collection, simulating an actual disaster scenario.

In addition to conducting regular training sessions at set Date and Time , we also gradually increase the training level by implementing unannounced drills and training to confirm the damage status of our customer members, thereby providing more practical training.

Disaster prevention training and evacuation training

Funai Soken Group conducts evacuation drills one to two times a year to confirm procedures and routes from the time of disaster to evacuation, and to simulate the confirmation of safety after a disaster. In these evacuation drills, the objectives are clearly defined by setting preconditions for the damage, such as earthquakes and fires.
