Funai Soken Group digitizes the "local connections" of 1,500 people and officially launches a regional revitalization platform.

Funai Soken Holdings Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and Group CEO : Takayuki Nakatani) has launched the full-scale operation of a new platform that brings together and visualizes the regional relationships (connections) scattered throughout the company, thereby accelerating regional revitalization.
As part of building this foundation, on Friday, May 29, 2026, we held the "3rd Prefectural Association Meeting," a network inventory event for all approximately 1,500 employees Funai Soken Group , simultaneously at our Tokyo and Osaka headquarters. On that day, participants were divided into groups representing 36 prefectures and regions across Japan, and actively exchanged information on the economic characteristics and latest market challenges of each region.
Moving forward, we will use the data collected at this event as a foundation to further develop and strengthen comprehensive Alliances with leading local companies, municipalities, and Financial institutions . Building on the collaborative track record cultivated by each of our specialized consulting divisions, we will expand our co-creation platform, which deepens the mutual exchange of knowledge, to a nationwide scale, contributing to highly effective regional revitalization and the sustainable development of regional economies.

In many Japanese Society , structural challenges that threaten the sustainability of local economies, such as population decline, industrial hollowing out, and the problem of business succession to the next generation, are becoming increasingly serious. To effectively solve these problems, an approach rooted in the real issues on the ground is essential.

Our group has a customer base in All 47 prefectures of Japan, but in order to provide more in-depth support for regional challenges during this period of transformation, we are focusing on "transforming the regional relationships (connections) that each group employee possesses into organizational knowledge." We are promoting the "Prefectural Association" concept, which involves thoroughly inventorying and aggregating individual experiences and networks (tacit knowledge) as data and making maximum use of it as collective intelligence (explicit knowledge) for the entire group.

Overview of the Prefectural Association

In this plan, along with the development of a state-of-the-art data infrastructure, we will seamlessly match the database of "local companies (customers)" that we have accumulated to date with the data of "employees with ties to that region." We will proceed with asset creation along the following three axes.

Creating synergy: Visualizing regional networks across departmental, hierarchical, and organizational boundaries, and promoting the sharing of economic information among members.
Early knowledge development : We create Environment where new employees can quickly gain access to the business characteristics of their region of origin and the knowledge of senior employees.
Establishing a Co-creation Platform: Going beyond mere internal communication, we will utilize comprehensive relationships among all employees as an "infrastructure for promoting co-creation" with the local Society .

■ Examples of specific initiatives Initiatives to date

Prior to the full launch of this platform, the networks of the past two "prefectural associations" have already generated effective business cycles based on local connections.

・A community-based business seminar based on the concept of "geosystem" (Hiroshima Prefecture)

In December 2025, drawing on connections forged among employees at past prefectural association meetings, we planned and held a community-focused business seminar primarily for employees and client companies with ties to Hiroshima Prefecture. We plan to continue holding this seminar this year as well.

・Discovering outstanding local companies through the "eye of professionals" and linking it to awards (Shizuoka Prefecture)

A recommendation system through the prefectural association network functioned effectively, leading to a recommendation of Sasaki Seicha Co., Ltd. from Shizuoka Prefecture to our company's " sustainable growth Company Award." As a result, they received the "Global Award" at the 2026 awards ceremony.

Future prospects

Going forward, we will fully activate the "geographical trajectories" gathered at this event as a regional co-creation platform, and aim to establish a "regional economic ecosystem" in accordance with the following three-year roadmap.

Year 1 (2026): Platform infrastructure development and data conversion.

We will promote the creation of "local network" data assets on a company-wide scale and focus on building a foundation that utilizes the corporate network across all 47 prefectures as collective organizational intelligence.

Year 2 (2027): Strengthening industry-academia-government-finance Alliances and fully implementing regional co-creation.

We will be fully launching a nationwide network of community-based business programs (seminars, etc.). We will also be strengthening multifaceted Alliances , including customer referrals with local banks, discovering star companies in collaboration with local media, and supporting young talent returning to their local communities in partnership with local universities.

Year 3 (2028): Completion and establishment of the regional economic ecosystem

We aim to establish a cyclical model of "discovery, development , and recognition" linked to our company's " sustainable growth Company Award (SGCA)," and to create an autonomous network (ecosystem) that supports the sustainable development of local economies.

Beyond simply conducting business as a single corporate group, we will strengthen comprehensive Alliances in transforming local industries and regional revitalization projects, and contribute to the realization of sustainable local Society by making maximum use of intangible assets that connect "people" and "regions."
